EFT Is As Effective As EMDR!

Via Dawson Church ~~~

EFT Is As Effective As EMDR!: EFT reached a milestone this month. Several years in the making, a new study was published in a peer-reviewed publication, The Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease, with the results of a study that compared EFT to EMDR. The study was performed within Britain's National Health Service. Theresa McGoldrick, a therapist at Forth Valley, Scotland NHS hospital, and one of the study investigators, put an enormous amount of work over a long period of time to see the study to a successful completion. It showed that EFT is just as effective for people with a PTSD diagnosis as EMDR. In both the EMDR and EFT groups, the 46 participants recovered in an average of 4 sessions. Not only did their PTSD symptoms improve; they also experienced significant reductions in their anxiety and depression symptoms. This study is important for several reasons. One is that it was done "in the system." The primary investigators were not advocates for either therapy, ensuring impartiality. Another important aspect of the study is that it compared EFT to what many clinicians believe is the most effective "evidence-based" emotional trauma treatment, EMDR, and found similar results.  See more here.
